REMINDER - IACTE Meeting (January 25)

IACTE Colleagues –

This is a gentle reminder to advise me of your plans to attend our meeting on Friday, January 25th at Franklin College.  Along with an informative panel discussion addressing the impact of the Common Core Standards on Teacher Education, we will be having Trish Whitcomb, from Glenda Ritz’ staff and ISTA representatives joining us to share their perspectives on issues before the state legislature and in our public schools at this time.  The Executive Committee has planned a very instructive meeting.  We hope you can join us!

Reminder: Education Student You Tube Contest

IACTE Colleagues –

Just a reminder of our contest for education students to share “Why I Choose to Teach.”  The deadline for you tube entries is Wednesday, January 23rd.  The judges will include Melanie Park, Indiana Teacher of the Year.  The prize may be an iPad or Kindle.  Please encourage your students to participate.

Happy New Year!

I do hope that each of you enjoyed fun and relaxing holidays, and that you are looking forward to an exciting new year.  To start the year off we have our first 2013 IACTE meeting scheduled for Friday, January 25th.  PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE CHANGED THE LOCATION TO FRANKLIN COLLEGE.  The meeting’s agenda centers around the impact of the Common Core Standards on Teacher Education.  We will have a very informed panel coming to provide varying perspectives on Common Core Standards.

Below is the general information for the meeting.  Please advise me NO LATER THAN MONDAY, JANAUARY 21ST as to your plans to attend.  We look forward to seeing each of you.
