9/25/2015 IACTE Meeting

IACTE Colleagues –

We have planned a terrific start to the 2015-2016 academic year with an informative meeting on Friday, September 25th to be held at the University of Indianapolis.  The theme for the day is “Partnerships to Advocate for the Education Profession.” The meeting includes two panels of guests who will inform our work associated with the AACTE State Chapter Support Grant that we were awarded to develop a statewide advocacy consortium.  It will be great to have each of you there as a part of the discussion.

TIME SENSITIVE INFORMATION- Indianapolis Alliance of Black School Educators (IABSE) Scholarships and Reception

IACTE Colleagues –

Attached is information about the scholarships available from the Indianapolis Alliance of Black School Educators (IASBE).  The attachment includes the flyer highlighting information about the reception on September 25th, a letter from the Alliance, AND the scholarship application form.  IACTE enjoys co-hosting the reception honoring future African American teachers.  Please encourage your students to apply.

2015-2016 IACTE Dues & Directory Notice

IACTE Colleagues –

To support the work of the Association this year, which includes representing and advocating for teacher education with the State Board of Education, Indiana Department of Education and State Legislature, the Executive Committee has agreed to continue the annual dues structure used the past two years; a structure based on the number of traditional AND alternative program completers, AND an institution’s membership in AACTE.  Please note the dues schedule below:
