Advocacy re: Federal Teacher Preparation Program Regulations

IACTE Colleagues -

YOU make a difference in your federal advocacy efforts!  Please see the note below from Deb Koolbeck at AACTE.  Our advocacy has made a difference in the House and now on to the Senate!  Please take a moment to send a note to our Indiana senators, Joe Donnelly and Todd Young, using the link below.  It takes just minutes!

Your Advocacy Is Paying Off – But Don’t Stop Now!

By Deborah Koolbeck, Director, Government Relations, AACTE

Thank you for your continued energy and efforts in advocating for the profession on the federal teacher preparation program regulations. With both Congress and the Executive Branch now under Republican control, there is a chance to have these regulations rescinded via the Congressional Review Act (CRA). In fact, this process has already begun (see the recording of this week’s Federal Update webinar for details).

IACTE Colleagues -

Your voice and that of your colleagues is needed NOW with respect to efforts to have the teacher preparation regulations rescinded.  PLEASE see the note below.  PLEASE share with your colleagues.

We must be our own advocates and model advocacy to our candidates!

Shawn, Ena, Deb, and Jill –

This is an URGENT action request of IACTE and it is TIME SENSITIVE.

We need to get letters to your Senators in support of using the CRA to rescind the teacher prep regs.  Conveniently, the AACTE Action Alerts are designed to do just that with 2 clicks in less than five minutes.

It is truly a two click process http://bit.ly/AACTERegsAlertOne

I need you to please share far and wide – students, colleagues, K-12 partners, etc.

One does NOT need to be a member of AACTE to participate.
